Great Weekend, Great Wedding, Bruce did a super job.
St. Louis in August and only 75 degrees. Unbelieveable....
We are leaving our second family stop with tears. We sadly left my family in Arkansas with tears. We sure hated to leave
We leave this family, Bruce's brother Donald, sil, Jackie and many family and friends in tears. We're not sure they are crying because they're so happy we're finally leaving or because they will miss us. With this gang it's hard to tell. We have had a fantastic time.
We're headed to get Josh this afternoon. We will then head to Kansas City for a couple of days. and head to NM on Wednesday.

Count Down to Wedding
Georgia has been fighting a sinus headache for several days now and rested all day yesterday (Tuesday).
She is much better this morning.
She hasn't been able to post for a couple of days so the second string will make his first attempt at posting.
We left Arkansas on Monday and traveled back to St. Louis, it was a 5 1/2 hour trip.
Then on Monday evening we had dinner with some friends and then came back to my brother Don's house where we will stay until we leave for Kansas City either Sunday or Monday.
Tuesday was a whirlwind around here as the girls were busy tying up the loose ends for the wedding this weekend.
The best thing Don and I did for the girls was to stay out of the way.
So we did the typical man thing and went car shopping.
Don wants a new Town & Country Chrysler Van, very hard to find now since the Cash for Clunkers has depleted most of the car lots.
However, as fate would have it, or luck in my case, this one dealer happened to have some classic cars in his showroom and lo and behold their setting their with its headlights shining towards me was a 1957 cherry Corvette.
Sigh.
Anyway that was another highlight for me.
The rest of this week we will be getting ready for the wedding which is on Saturday.
That's pretty much yet for now. Signing off for now.

We're in Springdale, AK with the Reaves clan. What fun.
Bad news I lost my husband to my cousin, Gail, she has a corvette.
Now I'll hear this the rest of the trip.
Uncle Charlie has a new friend, Sally. She loves Uncle Charlie so much, she wouldn't even go for a walk with us.
Jim, my cousin, that is my age and I grew up with, he's one year younger, all our childhood pictures show me holding on the Jimmy's hand. I must have been in charge of keeping him from running away.
Jim as it turns out is in North Carolina, at a conference, while we are here in his state. He'll be back Sunday nite so looks like we will stay a little longer here just to get to see him.
Karen, my cousin, is taking good care of us, she lives close to Uncle Charlie. Stephen lives about 10 miles away, We will go meet him and his mules later. Can't wait.......
We really are having fun now....

We made it to St. Louis.
Started out alright. Another good Ps 119:9-18. Josh and I were responsible today. Bruce was driving and it was raining, so we let him pass.
Another section on living life right. Really appropriate, if you know what I mean.
Then while I'm reading Saint Ben (a great book Glen recommended) I should have been watching St. Bruce because he was following Babe (our GPS, story for another time) and we were almost in Memphis.
We're not heading to Memphis, we are headed to St. Louis. Ask Babe, she took us at least 1 hour out of the way in the rain!
THEN we needed gas, Bruce got out to pump and no credit card. WELL, he got nervious, and out came his mouth almost wrong words and his attitude. WHOA BABY we have a kid here we are modeling Christ Life too. Were you in SS Sunday morning?did you not hear Horace? did you not read some of those scriptures yourself?
O K we got it together again with a quick prayer. Bruce calls the O'Charley's that we ate in last night and yes the credit card is in there safe and yes they will mail it to Bruces brother's in St Louis. Thank you Lord.
Outside of the headache I've had all day, we have had a great day, had a great lunch. Lambert's in Sikeston, where they throw the rolls across the room. They yell roll and you lift your hand there it comes flying through the air. It's great.
We safely deposited Josh at his Grandpa's Ron's for the next 10 days. Made it to St. Louis by 6:00 pm
We're off to Fayetteville, AK tomorrow to see my uncle Charlie.
I'll check when I get a chance next. Not sure when, but keep us in your prayers.

We're in Tenn. somewhere outside of Nashville, safe and sound.
We started our day, Josh and I reading Psalms 119:1-8. Yes you heard that right.
It tells us how to have a happy life. I'm all about that!
And all we have to do is realize God is smarter than us
Has a great plan worth following
And choosing to follow it over our own.
Well we all decided that we would choose God's plan today.
I would say it was a great choice.
We had a wonderful day we will remember always as a blessing.
We're fixing to go hit the pool and chill out.

A new venture
Hello. Who's there?
A blog. I've heard of them. But how? Someone asked us to set up one to use on our trip and I didn't know how.
Thank God for Grandchildren.
So this is our attempt of figuring this out.
Here goes......hopefully we'll get it together.

How do you prepare for being away from home for 5-6 weeks. That's the discussion going on in our home today. Who's going to mow the grass, pick the garden vegetables, get the mail, feed and water and love on our girls (Peaches and Pebbles) our 4 lb. poodles, and the list goes on to where are we going to stay, how far will be drive each day.. on and on it goes.
Here's the plan so far. We will leave next Wed. about 9 am head to St. Louis. It's 14 hours of straight driving. Of course we have to stop. I do not have 14 hours in me. So some where around Charleston, WV we will stay over.
Then on to St. Louis. Bruce has two brothers there, we will stay will Donald and Bruce is doing his nieces wedding on Aug. 29. But next week=end we will go to my Uncle Charlies house, my aunt just passes away, he lives in Fayetteville, AK.
come back to St. Louis for the week and the wedding.
Next Sunday we will travel to Kansas City to brother David's house and spend 2-3 days with them.
Then head to Albuquerque, NM for 2 weeks with my 3 sisters and my brother from Arizona is coming in his 5th wheeler and spending those two weeks with us.
Then to my Aunts in El Paso , TX.
We then will head to my other brothers, Clint in Austin, Texas and then to our Friends in Cypress Texas,
Then to our granddaughters in Harselle, AL
Then back home. I'm tired already and we haven't even left.
